關於我 Who I am

林小雯,澳門出生和成長,現於紐約生活及工作,從事獨立策展、寫作及藝術行政。其策展視野形塑自紐約及澳門活絡的文化土壤及藝術社群,關注另類的藝術創作和文化實踐,著重以當代策展開啟對話,打破邊界,建立新的連結。

林氏取得北京大學中文及藝術學雙學士,紐約大學藝術行政碩士。早年於澳門文化局工作,設計及實施文化創意產業的政府資助計劃。後赴紐約,於美國華人博物館、法拉盛文化藝術協會等機構工作。

2019年林氏擔任第 58 屆《威尼斯國際藝術雙年展》中國澳門中國展區策展人。2021年任《藝文薈澳:澳門國際藝術雙年展》特展項目策展人。同年,她加入了紐約市文化局公共藝術部門,任公民藝術項目統籌。2022年,林氏獲邀作為紐約州藝術基金管轄之藝術資助計劃的評審。

近年其獨立/聯合策展項目包括: 《遊園世外——劉慧德藝術展》(藝文薈澳:澳門國際藝術雙年展,澳門,2021)、《阿桑普⻄奥.馬修藝術展》(⻘島 Elite Art Center,2021)、《交易繼續——半田計劃駐紐約:蔡國傑個展》(紐約 SLEEPCENTER,2020)、《英梅好奇澳門》(澳門牛房倉庫,2019)、《空間再現——古地圖中的澳門》(“澳門記憶”線上展覽,策展顧問,2019)、《劉慧德:現形記》(第 58 屆威尼斯國際藝術雙年展中國澳門展區,意大利威尼斯、2019)等。

Born and raised in Macau, Sio Man Lam currently lives and works in New York City as an independent curator, writer and arts administrator. Her curatorial vision is informed by the vibrant cultural scenes and artistic communities in both Macau and NYC. She is interested in alternative practices and cultural production, dedicated to contemporary curating that triggers dialogues, breaks boundaries, and creates new connections.

Lam received a bachelor's degree in Chinese Linguistics and a double degree in Arts from Peking University (Beijing, China). She holds a master’s degree in Visual Arts Administration from New York University (New York, USA). Prior to coming to New York, she worked at the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Macau, designing and implementing a series of subsidy programs to foster local creatives. Later she relocated to New York and has worked at various arts institutions, including Museum of Chinese in America,  Flushing Council on Cultural and the Arts, etc. 

In 2019, Lam was appointed as the Curator of the Macau Pavilion at the 58th Venice International Art Biennale. In 2021, she was the Curator of the Special Exhibition of the Macau International Art Biennale. In 2021, she joined the Public Art unit of the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs as Civic Arts Program Coordinator. In 2022, Lam served as a panelist for the Art Grants for Queens funded by the New York State Council on the Arts.

Her recent curatorial projects include Empire Recast: Solo Exhibition of Heidi Lau (Macau International Art Biennale, Macau, 2021), Nature Writing: Art Exhibition of Assumpció Mateu (Elite Art Center, Qingdao, 2021), The Deals Go On -- Half-Field Plan in New York: Solo Exhibition of Cai Guojie (SLEEPCENTER, New York, 2020), Yingmei Curious Macau (Ox Warehouse, Macau, 2019), Spatial Reproduction: Macau in the Ancient Maps” (Macau Foundation’s Macau Memory website, Macau, 2019), Heidi Lau: Apparition (58th Venice International Art Biennale, Venice, Italy, 2019), etc.
